“THE TRANSITION FROM DICTATORSHIP TO DEMOCRACY CORRESPONDS TO THE IMAGE THAT DISAPPEARS IN THE PRINTMAKING PROCESSES (ETCHING) AND THEN REAPPEARS (PRINTED ON THE PAPER). MY WORK CALLS TO THE NEED FOR A SEARCH FOR JUSTICE AND TRUTH, WHICH BY NO MEANS IS FINITE OR TERMINAL, BUT RATHER AN INITIATIVE THAT EXISTS IN AND WITH TIME."

Moving Memorials is an ongoing project composed of several artist' books with printmaking and fine print techniques in constant transformation. The series and its mobility, rejects a fix past and an idealistic progress, calling instead for an open book and an open narrative. These artist books are presented through a performance creating spaces to activate the viewer’s affects through the experience of silence, that very silence, then transforms into a metaphoric voice in the present. The whole hand made series has been created, designed, printed, and bound by the artist from 2012-today. They are limited editions from one-of-a-kind to 50 copies collected by Museums, art institutions, public libraries and Universities.
